One of the biggest draw’s to essential oils is their amazing smells! You can mix and match all the different oils to infuse your home with smells for every season and mood, while enjoying the health potential and a chemical free lifestyle.
Three reasons to diffuse in your home
Reason #1 :
I could get into all the healthy benefits, and I will, but diffusers are beautiful! They fill empty spaces with a light glow and add character to anyone’s home. They are simplistic but elegant.
They fill your home with calming aroma’s or energizing smells for whatever mood you are in. Peppermint is perfect example of an energizing aroma. StressAway is one to promote a calming atmosphere. Thieves is another powerful blend that can promote a healthy immune system while making your home smell like fall with its Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary essential oils. Any mood – any emotion – oils can aid and support you.
Diffuers produce negative ions. Negative ions help create a more positive, calming mood.
WebMD.com states “Once they reach our bloodstream, Negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.”
Electronics produce positive ions – T.V.’s, phones, computers, tablets… you name it! If you work in an office setting you are surrounded by these positive ions. Diffusing can help balance the ions in the air which can promote a more relaxing and healthy environment.
Jen O’Sullivan states in her book The Essential Oil Truth:
Essential oils can greatly enhance the health and wellness of the respiratory system through aromatherapy. By simply breathing in essential oil molecules we are creating a more healthful air quality. Not only does the simplicity of smelling an essential oil support the health of our overall respiratory system, but also diffusing them into the air will raise the amount of negative ion’s in the room.
Essential oils also have a powerful influence over our emotions. There is no end to how these oils work withing our bodies to promote balance, health and overall wellness.
Though, essential oils are not only for diffusing. If using a high quality essential oil, you can apply them topically. Interested in learning about more of essential oils uses? Click HERE <<<

Other way’s and times to diffuse
Currently I have two diffuser’s, but want one for every room in our home. Diffusing at night is my absolute favorite!
Our bedtime blend is Lavender and Cedarwood. Three drops of each promote a healthy night’s sleep – two drops each for the kids rooms. When the calming constituents reach my nose it’s like my body know’s it’s time to start calming down for a restful night’s sleep.
Many people diffuse while doing yoga. I wear my diffuser necklace with a couple drops of R.C. when I do spin classes. This blend contains four different types of Eucalyptus essential oil to support my respiratory system as I breathe hard and deep.
