The BEST homemade facial serum recipe ever! – beautiful printable recipe included

Uncategorized

The ingredients in this face serum work to nurture and encourage radiant facial skin without any harmful chemicals. You can literally throw this recipe together over your bathroom sink. It’s a beautiful serum with a soothing aroma and, it’s easy to make.

Personal Testimony

I’ve been using this serum for over a year now and have noticed that my skin no longer changes with the seasons. You know how your skin will dry and breakout as the season change – this serum has been able to keep my skin stable.

Also, I suffer from a skin condition called Perioral Dermatitis. This is the first serum that has worked well with irritated skin. It has helped immensely with the peeling and flaking and still continues to balance my healthy skin as well.

It goes excellent with my Savvy Minerals makeup as skin often needs a little extra moisture when it comes to working with absorbent minerals. It set’s beautifully over this serum and hold’s all day. My skin glows with life as it no longer has to wrestle with chemicals and synthetics, which are so prevalent in our beauty products today.

DIY Face Serum

Ingredients:

  • Grapeseed oil – 100% pure, organic and cold pressed
  • Frankincense Essential Oil
  • Lavender Essential Oil

Recipe:

  • 5 drops Frankincense
  • 5 drops Lavender
  • 1/2 oz Grapeseed oil

Instructions:

  • Pour oils into container together, swirl, don’t shake. Add Grapeseed oil and swirl some more. DONE!

What’d I tell you? Quick and easy!

I’ve been using this face serum for a while and I love it! Let me break down the ingredients we use.

Ingredients:

Grapeseed oil. Have you heard how great it is for your skin? It’s non-comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pours (unlike coconut oil). It is known to treat acne, tighten skin, help diminish dark circles around eyes, moisturize, reduce scars, restore collagen and fight aging!

Frankincense: Not many people know if its skin loving constituents. We add this to the grapeseed oil to minimize visual blemishes and add a healthy-looking glow. It really does help promote a beautiful complexion.

Lavender: Most people know the beauty of Lavender and its effect on our skin. The aroma alone is soothing and relaxing. We add this oil to promote skin health and balance.

If you are looking for how and where to purchase these oils please do your research. Ordering oils from Amazon can be quite dangerous and purchasing oils from the store are not considered pure by any means! If you truly want pure, unadulterated oils, and you do, because this is your face we are talking about, than explore my Get Started with Essential Oils page.

Don’t mess around with oils that contain chemical extenders and synthetics. Get the good stuff, the oils that offer emotional support, skin loving qualities and so much more!

Face Serum Containers

Along with the Grapeseed oil, I purchased 1 oz glass pumps (needs to be glass) from amazon.

You can decorate the glass with metallic Sharpi pens – though it doesn’t last long. You can also purchase labels from Etsy. Dress it up, make it pretty, hand them out as gifts!

Printable

Want a cute way to hand these out as gifts? Or perhaps you just want to hang it up for personal purposes. Either way I’ve got ya covered!

This recipe comes from French Aromatherapy: Essential oil recipes and usage guide by Jen O’Sullivan. The book contains several other face serums, lotions, perfumes, roll-on’s and more. I highly recommend it – found on amazon as well 😉 XOXO
