Why health matters to me!
Our little family has experienced everything from gut health issues to perioral dermatitis, eczema to anxiety.
Each health issue we encountered helped me become more aware of how important clean living is.
As I began my own research I started taking steps to improve our way of life. With each step we began seeing our health improve.
I have a step by step guide coming that will help you begin to toss the chemicals, start using good clean products (without breaking the bank) and live a heathier more vibrant life!

Food Based Wellness
I’ve tried over 7 different diets in my life:
- Weight Watchers
- The 11 Day Diet
- 21 Day Fix with Shakeology (Beach Body Container System)
- Whole30 (my absolute least favorite)
- The 131 method by Chalene Johnson (also my least favorite)
- Trim Healthy Mama (THM) – The most effective and longest diet I was able to follow
- Faster Way To Fat Loss (FWTFL) – effective but very involved.
- And last but not least… CODE RED
And do you know something? They all worked! I was able to lose weight on all these except Whole30 (for one reason or another).
They worked, but many I couldn’t sustain. One thing you should know about me, I hate counting macros and/or calories. If I have to do it, it wont last long on or I’ll just hate it the whole time.
I like simplicity. I like fat too. Not being fat obviously, but all the foods that have that nice yummy satisfying fat.
I’ve learned a lot from each diet but as of right now, Code Red is my favorite.
It’s very basic, simple and you don’t have to count calories. Cristy, the creator of Code Red, teaches you everything you need to know about weight loss and foods cut down into bite sized pieces. It’s a huge eye opener and it will probably change the way you feed/nourish your family.
Again, it’s simple, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take commitment and time. What doesn’t?! That said, it is completely do-able.
